Cant Wait For These To Be Up, There’s Some New Ones
dear scogre,
lol pushed the wrong button oops, but anyway I have just finished an awesome lightning themed controller. It looks great but when ever I plug in my chatpad it ruins the coolness of the lightning. Can you please do a video on how to open and paint a xbox 360 chatpad. Many thanks, Richard
Hey scogre just wanna say big fan and your vids are awsome. I recently painted a real look tiger controller and want a headset to match. Can you make a how to on how to open and paint those, That would be a great help thanks.
Which headset? The stock one?
hey i sent you an email about the contest but i dont know if you got it can you tell me if you got it or not
Hey Scogre i have a question for you. I am waiting on painting my controller until i get a clear coat so that the controller doesnt get wrecked. I was wondering what i should use because i cannot seem to find Krylon Fussion Clear, UV Protector paint. Can you help me out?
Thanks Scogre,
bret
Got It!
Hey Bret,
You can get and use Dupli-color Acrylic Lacquer or Auto Spray Clear. Both should work just fine.
Scogre, I sent a sort of diagrammed verzion of my controller. Do u get where im going with the design?
hey uh… i didn’t pay attention much so how much does it cost to get your own customized controller again???
No the wireless headset.
Alrighty, i successfully made my first custom controller all thanks to you guys! I think it looks amazing with the blue tiger stripes. Here is a picture of my final result.

If I use Krylon Fusion paint, will the Krylon Crystal Clear work as a clear coat or not?
Also, when I work on both the console and controller will I need to ground myself? If so how? thanks.
hey
does anyone know where to get the supplies suck as the dupli-colour paint etc in the UK?
thanks
such not suck sorry
BUMP… I need help. Like I said above when working on the controller and the console do I need to ground myself… if so how? Also if I use Krylon Fusion paint will the Krylon Crystal Clear work as a clear coat or not?? If not any other suggestions?
Euan best bet is to google it, Halfords might have something you could use. But Scorge, not meaning to be offensive, why set up the site when people are asking questions and there’s no answer from you?
thanks jake got all the paints and stuff from halfords. But the torx t8 i bought of amazon was not a security one .shit happens
I am new to all this and i was wondering what you do if you mess up on your paint job? Can you start over or do you need a whole new controller? I also live in a very hot area, will this affect the paint and how it will set?
hey scogre in your medowlands controller i was recently watching you say you use the duplicolor auto spray paint. for your white coat did you use another auto spray paint and for your clear coat on that MLG controller what clear coat was it? krylon, duplcolor, etc?
Yes, above 90 degrees with ruin the paint when you are spraying it. But after a couple hours, it doesn’t matter how hot it is. Also, if you mess up, just use some sand paper and start over. Unfortunately, I have to do it all the time.
That controller was all Dupli-color Auto Spray.
yeah, good job with the site and thx for helping me learn to paint my controller lol =)
So… when do you think your going to be getting some more of these videos up?? they’re really helpful and some of the ones that aren’t done could make things a little easier for some. thanks.
I am working hard to get these pushed out. When it rains it pours. So I’m sure they will all launch within a week or so of each other.
That’s the way it always seems to work out. lol
Hey i used your video and painted all of my controllers and even some friends to make a profit
thnx for all the help but theres one thing i reeaaallly need help on that i think would really make my controllers even better. I would appreciate it if you would post a vid or tell me how to paint the buttons becuase im afraid if i paint them they might stick?
@dalboss elite: hey i painted my friends controller too and he wanted abxy painted so i gave it a shot. My friend and i decided to only mask off the bottom half of abxy and applied light coats of paint normally just like every other part and it turned out fine, but one main thing is to give it some sun, then after maybe a week before you use that controller with those buttons so, like scogre said the paint can cure and the clear coat will definitely protect it
this is to anyone who thinks they know whats wrong: sometimes when i am painting controllers i let them dry inside my garage the paint becomes all rough and weird to the touch. does anyone know why this happens, because i use duplicolor adhesion promoter, wait then apply the first coat of paint and after its done drying it feels all rough and stuff
yo you should show some people out on the sanding down the controller i dont wanna over sand it lol =)
